The Cat & Fiddle Gastro Pub is established in the medieval city of Kilkenny. It has a building legacy of over 800 years situated right in front of second longest cathedral in Ireland, St Canice’s Cathedral. Beside the cathedral stands a round tower. It was built in the 9th century. It was probably used as a watchtower and refuge in pre-Norman times. Most of the cathedral is preserved in its original style. This includes stained-glass windows, a choir stall with decorated carvings. The Cat & Fiddle Gastro Pub building has seen the ups and own of the majestic St Canice’s Cathedral from more than 800 years now.
